Tan Physical acts of service to the community such as helping to clean the Gurdwara: Painting the Gurdwara, wedding the car park, repairing anything in the gudwara that gets broken., Cleaning away plates and washing up, Peeling onions and cooking chapattis in the langar, Serving food to everyone who comes to the langar no matter who they are, Collecting and looking after peoples shoes when they arrive at the gurdwara, Running the gurdwara and making sure everything is running smoothly, Man Serving through your mental capacity- using your talents, listening, learning about Sikhism & sharing knowledge: Practising and performing kirtan in the gurdwara, Reading Guru Granth Sahib at the Gurdwara, Representing the Sangat on local committees , Learning to read Gurmukhi so that they can study the Guru Granth Sahib, Teaching young children and teenagers about Sikhism, Going to extra classes to learn about Sikh history, Painting pictures of the Gurdwara to help people think about Waheguru, Dhan Using materials e.g. donation of money or material goods. It could also mean giving time to help people in need.: Volunteering at a home for the elderly - talking to people, making tea, helping to clear up., Inviting people to your home for a meal., Donating money to charity, Providing food for homeless people , Listening to children read at the local school, Visit people who are unwell in hospital, Helping to run Cubs and Rainbows in my local area.,
