You notice two fellow teachers frequently whispering about a third colleague during break time. Soon, rumors about that teacher’s lesson quality start spreading, affecting team morale., A parent constantly emails you late at night, demanding detailed weekly reports, questioning your grading, and copying the principal on every message. You feel harassed., You teach six different levels of FL (pre-A1 to B2), while a colleague with the same contract teaches only two repeated levels. When you raise it, the head of department says, “You’re more capable.”, A student repeatedly makes disrespectful comments about your accent or teaching style. You report it, but the principal says, “Just ignore it – they’re stressed.” No action is taken., Most teachers go to lunch together but never invite you. When you try to join, conversations stop. You feel isolated, and collaboration on cross-curricular projects becomes impossible., Without speaking to you first, a parent sends a formal letter to the principal demanding their child be moved to another FL teacher because “your methods don’t suit my child’s learning style.” You were never told the issue., You create a successful FL club, a new set of digital materials, or a tested exam bank. A senior teacher presents it to the department as “our team’s work” and later gets a bonus – without naming you., The headmaster announces, “Teacher A’s students have 20% higher test scores than yours. Follow their methods.” But Teacher A gives easier tests, inflates grades, and discourages weak students from taking exams., You are asked to run an intensive FL conversation club after school for exam candidates. After two months, you still haven’t been paid for those hours. The finance officer says, “It’s still being processed.”, A parent finds your personal social media account and screenshots an old harmless post (e.g., a meme, a vacation photo). They complain to the school that you are “not a serious professional role model” for their child.
