Two of the most richest families in Verona, the Montagues and the Capulets, are at war. They have been enemies for a long while., Romeo gate-crashes the Capulet party in hope of seeing his love, Rosaline., At the party, Romeo meets Juliet, the young daughter of Lord Capulet. They dance together and fall in love, not knowing each other's identity., They find out each other's identity., Romeo and Juliet meet secretly in the Capulet orchard. Romeo proposes to Juliet. He tells her he will make the arrangements for the next day., Romeo arranges the wedding with Friar Lawrence., Juliet sends the Nurse to meet with Romeo and find out the details of their wedding. The Nurse returns with a message that they will marry that same day., Romeo and Juliet are married., Tybalt is looking to fight Romeo, but is drawn into a fight with Mercutio instead., Romeo refuses to fight Tybalt. Mercutio is disgusted and fights on his behalf.  , Tybalt kills Mercutio., Romeo kills Tybalt and is banished by the Prince, Paris asks Lord Capulet if he can marry Juliet. Lord Capulet now think this is a good idea to stop mourning Tybalt., Romeo spends his final night in Verona with Juliet. He flees to Mantua., Lady Capulet delivers the news that Juliet is to be married to Paris next Thursday. Juliet refuses. Her father says he will disown her if she does not marry. , Juliet gets no comfort from the Nurse. She feels betrayed and visits the Friar. She wants to kill herself., Friar Lawrence devises a plan where Juliet takes a potion that makes her appear dead. Her body is laid in a tomb. Friar Lawrence fails to get the message of this plan to Romeo., Romeo hears news of Juliet's death., Romeo buys poison and returns to Verona. He lays with Juliet's body, drinks the poison and dies. , Juliet wakes to find Romeo dead. She stabs herself with his dagger., Friar Lawrence arrives at the tomb too late. Both Romeo and Juliet are dead. He explains their marriage to the families.  , It is only after the death of Romeo and Juliet that both families finally decide to bury their hatred towards each other..
