I'm 82 years old and I live in a small town in the north of England. I was born in 1932, so I ____ up during the Second World War. It was a difficult time to be a child, but I had a happy childhood. We didn't have much money, but we had a lot of fun. When the war finished, I ____ school and started work in a factory. I worked there for 45 years until I retired. After that, I ____ some voluntary work for a few years. I helped ____ after old people who couldn't leave their homes. I wasn't very healthy when I was young, but that ____ when I got older. I stopped smoking and started doing more exercise. Now I go swimming every week and I walk everywhere. I don't like driving. I've been married for 60 years! My wife's name is Edith. We met at a party when we were teenagers and we ____ married two years later. We have four children, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Our family is very important to us. When I was younger, I was a bit of a troublemaker. I ____ to get into fights at school and I was always getting into trouble with my parents. But I think I'm a ____ person now because of it. A lot of things have changed since I was a boy. When I was young, we didn't have a television or a telephone. We didn't even have a bathroom - we had to wash in a big tub in the kitchen! But I don't think life was better then. I think it's better now. I'm happy with my life. I've done a lot of things and I don't regret anything. I don't know how long I've got left, but I'm going to make the most of it. And if anybody asks me how old I am, I'm going to tell them it's none of their business!
