1) A few days ago, I lost my passport at the airport and couldn't board the plane to go on holiday. 2) I parked my car too close to a fire hydrant and had to pay a hefty fine. I tried to fight the fine because the fire hydrant had been covered in snow at the time! 3) I once injured my neck in a car accident because I wasn't wearing a seatbelt.  4) On my last vacation, I took a taxi from the airport to the city centre. I found out later that the bus was a lot quicker and cheaper. 5) Last night, I quickly paid the bill at a restaurant and later discovered I'd been overcharged. 6) I spoke up in a meeting a few weeks ago, and my boss really liked my proposal. As a result, I've been promoted. 7) Last night, I ate some undercooked chicken and got food poisoning. 8) I called in sick so I could travel out of town for a concert. Unfortunately, I got caught on the Jumbotron! My boss saw it and I got fired! 9) I got a virus on my computer and lost all my documents, photos - everything! 10) I got married at 18, so I didn't travel much when I was young.
