Hi. Today I’m going to be showing you how to make a cake. It’s for someone special., FIRST, we’re going to sift together the dry ingredients. First we add the salt, then a teaspoon of baking soda, two teaspoons of baking powder, and lastly, the flour., Now for the fun part: Sift!, First we’re going to mix together the sugar and softened butter., Now you’re going to beat it until it’s smooth and not lumpy. (He’s using a MIXER), Add the vanilla, and now you’ll add the four eggs., Now we’re going to add two cups of buttermilk., Now it might look a little weird but it will be alright once the flour goes in., Now that the batter is mixed, I’m going to pour it into this 9-inch pan that I’ve already sprayed (with oil), Now we’ll tap it on the counter to get rid of any air bubbles, (Pop it into the oven at 350 F for 35 minutes), I put a layer of frosting in the middle so I can stack this one on top of it., Now it’s time to frost the cake., Make sure to get all the little spots, too., Now it’s time to decorate. She’ll love this!, I’m using vanilla icing. And now for the finishing touches: SPRINKLES! Ta-da!, Maybe she won’t notice if I just take a little piece….Oops! Looks like I have make a new cake!.
