Johnson continued Kennedy plans for the country including reducing taxes and protecting civil rights., civil rights act of 1964 - this act prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, or national region, Great Society - LBJ’s plan for ending poverty and brining succes to all, economic opportunity act of 1964 - it created job corps and other training programs. The programs give people the skills needed to find jobs, elementary and secondary education act - this act provides money to teachers and schools in low-income areas. It also focused on teacher training , head start - this program provides low-income children and their parents with health, nutrition, and education services , Medicare - a government program that provides health insurance for poor and low-income Americans  , Medicaid - a government program that provides health insurance for poor low-income families , housing and urban development act of 1965 - this act provided funds to build safe, affordable housing for low-income families , conservation  - the act of protecting earths natural resources for current and future generations , job corps - a free education and training program. It is designed to help low-income youth 16 years and older continue their education, prepare for a career, and keep a good job.,
