I really struggled with French when I was at school, and in the end, I just gave up., Trying hard to do something you find difficult., I never took any classes. I just picked it up from talking to people., Learning a new skill gradually and without much effort., I’m not interested in mastering the language. I just want to be able to read it for my job., Learning something thoroughly so that you can do it very well., I know the basics, enough to get by when I’m travelling there., To have just enough of something, such as knowledge or money, to do what you need to do., I’m a bit embarrassed to speak sometimes because I know I have a strong accent., The way a person pronounces words, which shows what country or region they come from., I grew up bilingual, so I speak Ukrainian and English fluently., Speaking a language very well., I hate it when I can’t express myself properly., To show or make known a feeling or thought through words, looks or actions., Accuracy is very important to me. It’s not enough to just make myself understood., correct or true in every detail.
