alliteration - when a series of words begins with the same letter: 'The superb, splendid Steyning Grammar School'., anaphora - repeating words at the beginning of sentences or phrases, rhetorical questions - questions which expect a certain response from the audience: 'Don't we all need to try to tackle global warming before it's too late?'', hypophora - we ask a question, and then answer it immediately: 'Is it right that hardworking nurses should be paid adequately for the life-saving work they do?
