His speaking is less confident than his written English. He often searches for the “perfect” word before continuing. He sometimes gives very complicated answers when a simpler expression would be more natural. He rarely makes basic grammar mistakes, but he sometimes makes unnatural collocations. He has improved considerably in speaking compared with six months ago. He still needs to work on fluency and spontaneity.
