Place a weighing boat on a 2 dp balance and add the solid, Record the mass of boat and solid, Tip the solid into a clean dry beaker, re-weigh the weighing boat, Record the mass of the empty weighing boat, Work out the mass of the solid in the beaker, Add distilled water to the solid in the beaker, stir until dissolved, Pour the solution into a volumetric flask, Use distilled water to rinse the beaker and stirring rod, add washings to the volumetric flask, Add distilled water to the flask until the bottom of the meniscus touches the line, Invert the flask to mix the solution.
