Inferential Statistics - A type of statistics on which the methods used to determine something about a population are based on samples., Population - The entire set of individuals or objects of interest or the measurements obtained from all individuals or objects of interest., Sample - A portion or a part of the population of interest., Random Sampling - A sampling method in which each sample has an equal chance of being selected., Stratified Random Sampling - In this method, the population is divided into groups called strata and then a sample is being taken from each stratum., Clustered Random Sampling - In this method, the population is divided into groups called strata and some of the strata is/are randomly selected., Systematic Random Sampling - A starting point is randomly being selected and every nth piece of data from the list is being taken., Dichotomous Data  - A data with two possible results only. , Quantitative Data - Data that are measured on a numerical scale., Qualitative Data - Data or measurements that can be classified into several categories., Discrete Data - Numerical data that can be counted., Continuous Data - Numerical data that can be measured only., Median - It is defined as the middlemost value in a data set., Mode - It is the most common number in a data set., Nominal Data - Consist of categories in each of which the number of respective observations is recorded.
