1) T leans on Ss while monitoring - they notice T is listening to them attentively. 2) Ss answers are repeated by the teacher. 3) T giving instructions: "I want you to look at task 2."/ "I want you to write the answers." / and so on 4) Fill in the gaps activity using unknown words. Instructions are given, IP is set, and students do the task. 5) The order when eliciting answers from students is varied. 6) Two tasks: one listening for gist, another one listening for detail. Time is running out, so T asks Ss to do both at the same time. 7) Students are asked to do a task involving rephrasing 8 sentences individually in 5 minutes. 8) T boards students' answers, whether they're right or wrong. 9) The examples given are about students' lives and preferences. 10) T holds the book throughout the entire lesson & spends a considerable time sitting down. 11) Some Ss finish the task before the others. They then start browsing their phones. 12) There was a picture above the task. T gives instructions & Ss start the task. Ss then ask "who is the father? Who is the son?" 13) The study phase is the most prolonged phase of the lesson. 14) T uses the examples students give during the engage phase to cover the target language. 15) Enabling goal: Grammar - Past Perfect. Lesson is contextualized, then the T opens a pptx presentation and explains how to use the time tense. Then, students do a task on the book where they see the language in context and figure out the rules of the past perfect. 16) T asks "what are they related to?" -silence- T asks "school, life, work?" 17) During the lesson, some tasks are done individually, others in pairs, some with students sitting down, others with them standing up. 18) Speaking activities are done in pairs. T monitors. When done, they share their thoughts, and the T moves on to the next activity. 19) S asks a question, and the teacher answers on the spot, orally. 20) Homework is unfinished - teacher accepts it and grades it. 21) Lesson plan contains: order of tasks & duration. 22) At the end of each task, T says "ok now let's move on" 23) T begins the lesson asking about homework, Ss ask questions and T answers them. Then, the teacher starts explaining 24) T gives instructions "you're going to read the text, then you're going to check the boxes; here; the blue boxes; you'll check them after reading the text..." 25) S asks a question. T is talking to another student. S repeats the question. T keeps talking to the student. S once again asks the question. T doesn't listen to it. S gives up. 26) Ss are cold. T asks "why didn't you bring your jackets?" 27) T: "Jane Doe, you'll be student A, ok?"/"John Doe, you'll be student B, alright?" 28) Interaction patterns of the tasks are T-S & IND. Pairs and trios are not possible because Ss are sitting away from one another. 29) A mistake is made. T recasts it. S makes the same mistake again. T recasts it again. 30) Pairs are changed from one task to another.
