well-run - Everything is efficient and works very smoothly., run-down - The houses are crumbling and there are a lot of derelict buildings that seem to have been abandoned., congested - The transport system is non-existent and cars just crawl along bumper-to-bumper., polluted - There's a permanent cloud of smog hanging over the city., sprawling  - It just goes on for miles. It's enormous., spotless - There was no litter in the streetse and no graffiti anywhere., vibrant - The nightlife is wild. There's so much going on., affluent - People are abviously rolling in money., picturesque - beautiful, lovely, pretty, tranquil - calm, quietm pieceful, bustling - busy, full of people and noise, deserted - empty, uninhabited, unspoilt - not changed by tourism , jam-packed - extremely crowded or full to capacity, hustle and bustle  - constant movement of people and cars , chaotic - hectic,
