1) Your supervisor offers you a job at your company's client's. However, that would mean relocating to Lisbon for 3 months. Your personal life would suffer so you don't want to go. However, I'm not in a place to accept it right now. b) It's out of the question! What a crazy idea to offer this to a parent of three kids! 2) Your colleague asks you to help them with their task. Still, you already have a lot on your plate and you don't want to do this. a) Sorry, but we all have a lot of work. Look at me. Can you see anyone helping me? b) Sorry, I can't do that. But have you considered asking Tom? He's just finished his project and should be free. 3) Your boss asks you to work overtime. You are not sure: the overtime would be paid 400% extra but would take much time and effort. a) Well...I need to give it some thought. I'll get back to you on that, ok? b) What does my contract say? 8 hours a day? So 8 hours it is. No way I'm working any minute longer! 4) Your colleague is on a long leave and your boss wants you to cover for her and do your own job. It's too much for you though and you lalready feel overloaded. a) Sorry, I can't. With my current schedule, I would be unreliable to take this up. b) Like what!? What do you need 2 job positions for if the job can be done by 1 person?
