Blended learning/delivery - A way of learning that combines traditional classroom lessons with lessons that use computer technology and may be given over the internet, Lectures - One of the main methods of teaching at universities. They tend to be larger than a regular school class and less interactive., Core modules - At university students take a certain number of these units of a course each year. Some are optional -these are compulsory., Seminar - A teaching class, overseen by a lecturer, in which anything from half a dozen to about 35 student discuss and do exercises. They're similar to tutorials but involve more students., Group/individual tutorial - A small group of students (or just one) who meet up with a tutor and discuss their studies., Guest lecture - A talk given by a visiting expert, an artist, designer or engineer, for example ., Workshop - A group session where you take part in an activity on a particular subject or project., Group work - Completing tasks in a small team - gives you the chance to learn from each other. There are many benefits from analysing, discussing and exploring your own ideas and questions and gaining feedback from other team members., Induction - A session introducing you to a course or module., Interpersonal skills - The life skills we use every day when we communicate and interact with other people- valued highly by employers., Collaboration - The action of working with another student or organisation to produce something.,
