SUBJECT: Analysis Report - Well head samples - Excelsior project., OBJECTIVE: Initial analysis to provide information for conceptual design team., SUMMARY: The results show that the level of mercury is higher than expected., BACKGROUND: High levels of mercury can cause damage to piping and equipment if materials are not chosen correctly., RESULTS: The findings show expected levels of CO2 and sulphur but the Hg content is higher than expected at 300 ppb (parts per billion)., CONCLUSIONS: In order to confirm the results of this initial analysis, we need to run further tests to eliminate contamination or measurement errors., RECOMMENDATIONS: We suggest having further discussions with Petrolink to decide on the procedure for sampling and further testing., ATTACHMENT: Petrolink Analysis Data.pdf,
