It provides a lot of detail for a wide view, usually for the setting., Foreshadowing - Hints/Clues given to the reader about what might happen in the future., Flashback - To go back in time. They provide insight into a character's background/history., Shift in focus - Panning around the room. Bouncing from object to object. Moving between characters, scenes or objects. Shifting from a character to another or from one object to another or from one scene to another., Long Paragaphs - This is where the action is.
