UNHELPFUL: I’ll never be able to recover from what happened, Everyone is judging me all the time, I have to be perfect, or no one will accept me, It’s my fault, Nobody cares about me or what I’m going through, I'll always feel this way, I can't trust people, I shouldn't make mistakes, I shouldn't talk about my feelings, I’m not worthy of love or kindness, Everything is going to go wrong because it always does, I'm completely alone, I'm weird and no one likes me, Nothing will ever change, If I don’t get things right, I’m a failure, I should always be happy, Other people have it worse, so I shouldn’t feel this way, I should be able to handle this on my own, I can’t change how I feel, so why even try, I will never open up to anyone, HELPFUL: It's okay to feel sad or angry, If I open up to people, they might be supportive, I’ve been through difficult times, but I’m working on healing, It’s okay not to feel okay all the time, I have strengths, even if I don’t always see them, Some people will accept me, and some won’t, and that’s okay, I’m not perfect, but I’m worthy of respect, Healing takes time, and that’s okay, I can control how I respond, even if I can’t control what happened, It’s okay to ask for help when I’m struggling, My feelings are valid, even if others don’t understand them, There are people who care about me and want to help me, It’s normal to feel overwhelmed sometimes, Things usually turn out okay, I have family who supports me, I’m stronger than I give myself credit for, It’s okay to set boundaries with people who hurt me, I’ve survived worse days, and I can keep going, I tried my best, All feelings eventually pass with time,
