Act 1 Scene 1 - Witches upon the heath, thunder storm, pathetic fallacy, "Fair is foul and foul is fair...", Act 1 Scene 2 - Battle report, bleeding Captain, praise for "Brave Macbeth" and Banquo, Cawdor is a traitor and will die, Act 1 Scene 3 - Witches give their prophecies when they meet Macbeth and Banquo, "Glamis...Cawdor...king hereafter...less than Macbeth but greater", Act 1 Scene 4 - King Duncan sees Macbeth and Banquo, thanks and praises them, announces Malcolm as his successor, Act 1 Scene 5 - Lady Macbeth is alone, reads a letter from Macbeth...likes the idea of power. Macbeth returns and is told to "Look like th'innocent flower but be the serpent under't", Act 1 Scene 6 - King Duncan arrives at Macbeth's castle and thinks it feels very welcoming, "This castle hath a pleasant seat" (dramatic irony alert!), Act 1 Scene 7 - Macbeth struggles with his conscience about killing King Duncan, tries to remain loyal, "We will proceed no further in this business" to then be called weak by Lady Macbeth who says he will, "live a coward",
