I can partition a number to add the digits and then add them together at the end. 42 add 67 is 40 add 60 and 2 add 7. Then I add 100 and 9., I can use near doubles to add. 45 add 47 is like double 45 add 2., Yesterday I found out I could make the next 10 and then add on my number as long as I take away the extra I added at the start. 146 add 57 is like 150 add 57 take away 4., Sometimes I partition a single digit to add it on. 147 add 8 is like 147 add 3 add 5., I round the number I need to add on and then adjust it. 68 add 39 is the same as 68 add 40 take away 1., I can use do no work adding very quickly because there are no carries. 137 add 432., I like just counting on when it is a small number. 39 add 13., I think it is great if you have a teen number to add because you can just add 10 and then the rest. 126 add 17..
