The Anglo - Saxon were the first tribe to invade Britain in the [4th] century. They were made up of three tribes namely the [Angle], [Saxon], and [Jutes]. They were known to be [farmers -warriors] from the north-western Europe. They were from [Germany], [Netherland] and [Denmark]. The Anglo- Saxons called England [Angle Land]. Some Historians believe that they came to England because they were [invited] and because they usually have lots of [flooding] in the countries that they lived in before. Their houses were [wooden huts] with [straw roofs]..
