The party was on the top floor, I realized I did not have my phone, I took the lift down to my room, The lift stopped completely between floors, I pressed the button and asked for help, There was an electrical fault in the lift, I got out at one in the morning, My friends did not realize I was missing, We went to an expensive restaurant first, After dinner we got a taxi back, I put on boots and a warm jacket, We watched the amazing fireworks outside, At ten o'clock everyone went home, The streets were empty for a bit, Just before midnight people came out again, People danced and drank until five, It was an incredible New Year's Eve
