Matt’s heart was pounding as he walked down the hall. He thought again about his checklist; he had his notebooks, pencils, and water bottle. He was ready for the day, but still felt so nervous. As he turned the corner and neared room 246, he could hear his heart beating in his ears. He reached for the doorknob, gave it a quick turn and pull, and walked through the door. His peers were sitting quietly and a few of them smiled as he walked in the room. Maybe this would be a good day after all., Jamie was so excited that Tuesday had finally arrived. She quickly dressed for the day and ran to the kitchen. She found a huge blueberry muffin with a candle in it. Her parents and baby brother were sitting at the table waiting for her. In front of them, there was a big package wrapped in light pink paper and a large bow on top. They sang and she blew out the candle. Then, she rapidly tore open the package to find a new dollhouse. She smiled broadly as she thanked her parents. It was a great day!, Joshua woke up early in the morning. He looked outside and saw a clear sky. He dressed in a t-shirt and shorts because he knew it would be a warm day. When his dad called him for breakfast, he ran downstairs. Then, after breakfast, his dad told him to grab his fishing pole and hop in the car. He got his pole, threw on a baseball cap, and headed to the car. It was going to be a great Saturday!
