Ceorls  - Usually poor people who lived in small huts. These people had to fight for their Thane. Most Anglo-Saxons were these common people or peasants., Thralls  - These people are at the very bottom of the Anglo-Saxon society. They were treated very badly and forced to work their whole life. , Thanes  - After kings, these people were the most powerful Saxons. They lived in large halls and helped the King rule the land. , Cyning  - A ruler of one Saxon kingdom. They were at the very top of society. , Bretwalda - The king of a larger region, often more than one kingdom. They were the top of the Anglo-Saxon society. ,
