Vector Graphic - Each object (shape) is described mathematically as a list of attributes. For example coordinates, fill colour and line colour. These attributes are then translated into bitmaps and binary numbers before the graphic is displayed., Bit-Mapped Graphic - Graphics that are made up of a grid of pixels. The colour of each pixel required to create the graphic is stored as a binary value e.g. blank = 0., Printable Characters - A * > % 3, Control Characters - Caps lock, Delete, Esc, Data bus - Sends data from the processor to the memory to be written in e.g. saving a file to the hard drive. Sends data from memory to the processor to be read from e.g. reopening a previously saved file., Address bus - Transfers the address for a memory location. Sending the unique binary address along this bus will allow the processor to access one specific location in memory. This bus is one-way, processor to memory., Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU) - Performs calculations, carries out logical decisions (deals with comparisons) e.g. IF age>6..., Registers - Stores data temporarily within the Processor. E.g. current instruction., RAM (Random Access Memory) - Processor can write to and read from. Holds all data and programs currently in use. Data is lost when power is switched off., ROM (Read Only Memory) - Processor can read from. Holds all programs. Data is stored permanently, it's not lost when power is switched off., Interpreter - Translates high level languages into Machine Code one line at a time., Compiler - Translates high level languages into Machine Code all at once.,
