Safety : Manages EAP, Oversees safety program, Coordinates transitional duty program, Conducts investigations related to citizen and interdepartmental complaints, Conducts internal affairs investigations, Conducts meetings, disseminates info, receives feedback about various jobs, Responds to incidents, Represents NOFD in all safety related issues, Planning: Interdepartmental planning, documentation, and grants, Ensures all policies are up to date and accessible, Meets with govt agencies as needed to coordinate role of NOFD, Compiles IAP and situation reports for incidents, Coordinates with training division and operations division to ensure that post incident analysis (PIA) is conducted and properly documented on all 3-alarm or greater fires, Logistics: Oversees NOFD assets, Maintains inventory of NOFD assets, Fulfills requirements as needed for NOFD operating budget, Assists with all incident investigations relating to assets (fleets equipment, facilities) in partnership with other division heads and district chiefs, Oversees maintenance of assets, Public Affairs: Community outreach/engagement and fire safety education, Oversees department smoke alarm program, Issues press releases and disseminates info to the public, Manages dept social media account, Manages NOFD fire museum, Assists NOHSEP with staffing of joint information center during activiations, Compliance: Coordinates maintenance of computer software, Oversees all aspects of dept portable radios, Oversees dept phones, computers, printers, electronics on apparatus, Ensures availability of compliance help desk to assist personnel, Maintains inventory of hardware, software, licensing agreements, Responsible for reporting NIFRS data, Liaison between city of new orleans technology division and NOFD, Training: Provides all required training, Administers dept recruit training, Coordinates with special ops division for delivery of special ops training, Maintains training records and ensures that certifications are current, Oversees apparatus, pump, hose, and ladder testing, Communications: Develops and updates (with planning division) any policies for the communications division (with approval of superintendent of planning), Coordinates with Orleans parish communications district and compliance division to ensure technological aspects required for call taking, dispatch, communications, data storage, integration with all programs are maintained, Ensures emergency notifications are issued from communications to dept in a timely manner,
