I went to see the film The Great Gatsby last night. I was really looking forward to it, but unfortunately it didn't ____ ____ to my expectations. I thought the acting was great, especially Leonardo DiCaprio, who was fantastic as Gatsby, but the story was quite difficult to follow and there were too many special effects for my ____. In fact, some of my friends thought it was a bit of a ____-____ because the trailer made it look so good. They said they'd been to better films. Afterwards we went to a new restaurant that's just opened in town. We'd been waiting for ____ for it to open because we'd heard such good things about it. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as we were expecting ____. The food was OK, but nothing special, and the service was really slow. Also, it was really expensive - a real rip-off! We won't be going back in a ____. We decided to go to a nightclub to ____ ourselves ____. It was one we'd all been to before and had a great time at. However, this time it was really ____ and the music was incredibly loud. I think they must have had more people there than normal because of all the ____ publicity. My friend Lucy had bought a spare ____ for her cousin, so she came with us. She's only 17 and you're ____ to be 18 to get in, but the bouncer turned a blind ____ and let her in. She looked much older than she is. Anyway, she got really drunk and ended up being sick everywhere. It was disgusting! We left as soon as we could and went home. It was a really disappointing night! Another time when something didn't really live up to my ____ was when I went to see an exhibition of paintings by Picasso. I'm not a ____ fan of his work, but I thought it would be interesting to see some of his most famous paintings. However, I found it really difficult to understand what was so great about them. To me they just looked like a lot of scribbles on a piece of paper! I think he's really ____. My friend Tom loves his work though - he's got a print of one of his paintings hanging in his living room and he says he could look at it for hours.
