Heart - Large muscular organ that pumps blood around the body, Arteries - Strong large blood vessels that take blood away from the heart , Veins - Large blood vessels that bring blood back to the heart, Capillaries - Small blood vessels covering organs that drop off/pick up materials for transport via the blood, Red blood cells - Pick up and transport oxygen, White blood cells - Fight off invading bacteria and viruses , Plasma - Liquid portion of the blood - contains nutrients and other things being transported, Oxygenated blood - Blood that has been in the lungs recently and picked up oxygen from the alveoli, Dexoygenated blood - Blood that has been at other organs (NOT the lungs) and dropped off its oxygen, Left Atrium - Heart chamber that pushes oxygenated blood out to other organs around the body, Left Ventricle - Heart chamber that received freshly oxygenated blood from the lungs, Right Atrium - Pumps deoxygenated blood to the lungs, Right Ventricle - Receives deoxygenated blood from the vena cava veins, Aortic artery - Sends oxygenated blood out to organs around the body, Pulmonary arteries - Takes deoxygenated blood away from the heart towards the lungs, Pulmonary veins - Take oxygenated blood from the lungs back to the heart, Superior Vena Cava - Transports deoxygenated blood from the upper organs (above the heart) back to the heart, Inferior Vena Cava - Transports deoxygenated blood from the lower organs (below the heart) back to the heart, Blood - Fluid that flows through veins, arteries, and capillaries, that is responsible for transporting oxygen and nutrients around the body,
