Had to know how to read and write, Reconstruction Act - Some acts made to Protect African Rights in the South, Abraham Lincoln's plan - Had a plan to forgive (amnesty) the South if they swear allegiance to the US , Radical Reconstruction - Wanted harsh punishments for the South, wanted Southern states to ratify the 14th amendment-which they hated, Civil Rights Act of 1866 - This act granted full citizenship to African Americans and gave the fed gov't the power to intervene in state affairs and protect their rights.
