a top head teacher - a leading principal, the population are unable to get by in a foreign language  - can't live or deal with a situation with difficulty, usually by having just enough of something you need, students lack motivation for studying - they don't have the feeling of wanting to do something, students make an effort to speak French - to do something even though you do not want to or you find it difficult, they go abroad and feel embarrassed - to travel to foreign countries and be shy, uncomfortable or ashamed, What's the point of learning English? - What's the purpose for it?, you can rely on your teacher - you need or depend on somebody/ trust or have faith in somebody/something, teachers give students the opportunity to learn a foreign language - they provide help and make smth possible, schools provide a good environment for learning and continuity  - they create a nice atmosphere for learning and it's not stopping , students progress at different speeds - they develop differently , some people pick things up more quickly - they learn smth quickly than the others, teacher have to deal with a wide range of levels - they have to work with students who have different levels, I remember one mistake I made - you did an action that was not correct, Making language more available to older learners is important - the older generation can learn languages too,
