1) Walking Feet in the Hallway (No Running!) a) So we don't slip, fall, or bump into others. b) So the teacher can hear your footsteps better. 2) Raise your Hand before speaking. a) To stretch your arm and wake up your body. b) So everyone gets a fair turn to share their ideas, and no one interrupts. 3) Keeping your Hands to Yourself. a) To keep everyone safe and feeling comfortable in their personal space. b) To help you remember where your body is standing. 4) Share the Materials with friends. a) To see who can hold the materials the longest. b) So every friend gets a chance to use the crayons, blocks, or balls. 5) Listen When Others Speak (Eyes on the Speaker). a) Because if you listen, you don't have to talk yourself. b) To understand all the instructions and show that we value their words. 6) Wait Patiently in Line without pushing or talking. a) To avoid pushing, keep the line moving smoothly, and respect time. b) To see how long you can stand without needing to sit down. 7) Say 'Please' and 'Thank You'. a) So your mouth gets practice making happy sounds. b) To show good manners and kindness to the people helping us. 8) Push your chair under your desk when you stand up. a) To give the chairs a good rest and help them nap. b) So no one trips or bumps into them when walking around the room.
