1) I'm so glad summer is coming. School is almost out. I love summer. Each year, we take a vacation at the beach. We spend seven days at a house we rent. It is right across the street from the beach. It has a big deck off the second floor. We often eat our meals up there and watch the waves. Each morning, we go across the street and spend a few hours at the beach. We ride on body boards, swim, and build sand castles. In the afternoon, we sometimes go shopping or to a water park. Sometimes in the evening, we go back and walk on the beach. We collect shells. We had seen several added in just the last year, including a tea room, coffee shop, antique store, an old-fashioned general store. The most recent addition was A Second Home, a store run by a local charity that sells used items and clothing. She hoped her poem would get people excited about cleaning up. My favorite is the lion puppet. She can open his mouth wide and make a loud, roaring sound.
