Precise and clean lines are made, Drypoint: Process where the metal is MOVED, leaving the Burrs in order to create soft, feathery, velvety lines. Can only make 10 impressions because Burr wears out, Etching: least direct of all processes. Varnish coat is on the metal plate. Needle is used to scratch out design and is placed on an acid bath. acid eats away the scratched area. , Aquatint: powder or rosin is added to create tone areas. Is placed in acid bath. Achieve tones without having to hatch or cross hatch. , Lithography: "Litho"- Latin for stone, Uses Stone (Bavarian limestone as Matrix), Greasy crayon or greasy liquid (tusche) is used to draw on the design, Planographic process, because the matrix consists of the image made directly upon the surface of the stone block, Screenprinting: Also known as Silkscreen, Only process that the design doesn't have to be mirrored, Stencil is created on the fabric ,
