Capital Punishment - A form of punishment in which a prisoner is put to death for crimes committed., Conscience - Sense of right and wrong; usually the guilty voice in our head., Corporal Punishment - Physically hurting the criminal as punishment i.e. whipping or flogging., Deterrence - The punishment is designed to put someone off committing a crime., Evil - Something or someone considered morally wrong; wicked., Forgiveness - Letting go of anger towards someone for a wrong they have done us., Hate Crime - Crimes that are usually targeted at a person because of their race, religion, sexuality, disability or gender e.g. beating someone up because you think they are gay., Justice - Making things fair again., Protection - Aim of punishment: to keep society safe., Reformation - Aim of punishment: educate or train the person to help them from re-offending., Reparation - Aim of punishment: making up for what has been done wrong; compensation., Retribution - Aim of punishment: punishment that is fitting for the crime they have committed; they should pay for what they have done., Vindication - Aim of punishment: the punishment exists to help people understand why it is important to follow the law., Anti-Semitism - Hatred or prejudice against Jewish people.,
