Sheds during the menstrual cycle if fertilization does not occur, Fimbriae - Finger-like projections that catch an egg as it is released from the ovary so that it can be transported to the uterus via the Fallopian tubes, Ovaries - Has 2 main functions: production of eggs (ova), & production of the female sex hormone, estrogen, Fundus - The body of the uterus, where an embryo will develop into a fetus, Urethra - Connected directly to the bladder to allow for excretion of urine, Clitoris - Does not have a direct role in reproduction, has roles in arousal and pleasure, Labia Majora - The larger external structure to protect the internal reproductive anatomy, Labia Minora - The smaller external structure to protect the internal reproductive anatomy, Anus - A sphincter that is usually contracted unless there is a signal for a bowel movement,
