Data compression is when we make file sizes smaller, There are two types of compression Lossy and Lossless , Lossy compression works by permanently removing data from the file , Lossy compression makes the file size smaller by temporarily removing data and then restores it when it is opened, Lossless only has a slight reduction in file size, Lossy files are worse quality than the original, but the loss on quality id normally unnoticeable,
