Show Respect For Other Students, The Teacher, and Yourself - It means taking others’ feelings into consideration before saying or doing something. Students should treat others as they want to be treated., Raise Your Hand and Wait to Speak - We all have a lot to say. And, while it is good to participate in your lesson, it can become difficult for everyone to stay focused if students are simply giving their answers whenever they want., Arrive on Time - Students have to switch classes for different subjects. Still, the expectation is for students to be in the classroom no later than five minutes after the start of class. It is a way to repect others’ time., Use Kind and Appropriate Language - This means no swearing or cursing. Students shouldn’t say anything they wouldn’t want to say in front of their grandmother, grandfather, or another adult in their family., No Cheating or Plagiarizing - In middle school, students are working on writing longer essays and reports. They must always turn in their own work. Likewise, when taking a test, students must keep their eyes on their own paper., Complete and Turn in Your Work on Time - Students need to get things done and upload their assignments to Classroom so the teacher can grade their progress. These assignments have a deadline which must be respected., Leave Cell Phones and Other Electronic Devices Off - We get too easily distracted by social media, games and text messages. Unless students need their devices for class, they should be left off at all times during the lesson., No Food or Drinks in the Classroom - Eating and snacking can distract other students who are trying to work. Additionally, nobody wants a smelly classroom! That could also become distracting for the students.,
