mouth - Food enters here, teeth - Food is cut up and ground up, tongue - Mixes food and saliva, oesophagus - The tube which connects the mouth to the stomach, liver - Produces bile, salivary glands - Produces saliva to soften food in the mouth, gallbladder - Stores and releases bile, stomach - An acidic environment where enzymes break food down, large intestine - Water reabsorbed from waste food, pancreas - Produces enzymes to breakdown fats, proteins and carbohydrates, rectum - Faeces stored here and informs brain of need to get rid of waste, anus - Faeces are released from here at the end of the digestive system, small intestine - Lots of digestion happens here and then the products move into the blood.
