be afraid to do vs. to be afraid of doing - Afraid Of + ing is used when you generically or generally fear that thing. Well, afraid + to INF is used when you fear what would happen for this particular time, like to do vs. to like doing  - if you like doing sth. it means it's fun and enjoyable / if you say "I like to do sth." it means it's a good idea, sth. that you should do (it doesn't mean it's fun or you enjoy it, regret to do vs. regret doing sth.  - infinitive to talk about bad news / gerund to talk about that you feel bad about sth. you have already done , remember to do vs. remember doing  - infinitive = don't forget to do sth. / gerund = to recall the action which took place before ,
