FOR EXAMPLE: THE MOON LOOKS INCREDIBLE. We use ____ when we expect the reader/ listener to know what we are talking about. FOR EXAMPLE: Where's the car? (my car /your car /our car). (we are referring to a CAR we both know) We ____ for names of most places, including countries. FOR EXAMPLE: LET'S VISIT CHINA. But there are exceptions: LET'S VISIT THE USA /THE UK, THE ALPS, THE NILE, THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE.
