How might you ask for their help? 6) What is one thing you can say to yourself when you're struggling? Feel free to write this down. 7) What are some thoughts and feelings you have about yourself after that experience? 8) If your best friend went through what you did, how would you support them? Can you use any of those methods for yourself? 9) When you think about your experience, how do you feel physically and emotionally? 10) How do you remember the experience: does it come back all at once or in shorter episodes? Is it random or do you notice any triggers? 11) What are some things you've learned about yourself since this experience? Try to list at least two. 12) What is one thing you can do or say to yourself to feel more in control of negative emotions? 13) What's a challenge you've recently overcome and how did you feel after accomplishing it? 14) Can you name someone you can reach out to for emotional, mental or physical support? 15) Do you have a place where you feel safe and supported? 16) If you could write a letter to your future self, what advice would you give about healing? 17) Regrounding tip: sit or lay down and inhale deeply through the nose, let your stomach and chest expand. Hold for 3 seconds. Exhale slowly through mouth. 18) Regrounding tip: Pause and identify parts of your body that are tense. Take a moment to relax each of those parts. 19) Regrounding tip: Hold onto a small, comforting object(ex: fidget toy or stone) and focus on its texture, temperature and weight.
