First come first served (FCFS) Algorithm, Requests are handled based on the ORDER of how they arrived, Shortest time first (STF) Algorithm, Requests are handled based on the DISTANCE from the current head location., SCAN (Elevator Algorithm), Scans in one direction until the end, then REVERSES and continue scanning in the opposite direction., Circular SCAN (CSCAN) Algorithm, Scans in one direction until the end, then JUMPS to the opposite end and scans forward again., C-LOOK Algorithm, Scans in one direction until the LAST REQUEST , then JUMPS to the farthest request on the opposite end and scans forward again.
