Patients should be warned urine saliva and sweat may be discoloured, also soft contact lens wearers should be advised that lens may be discoloured so avoid wearing, Isoniazid, There is an increased risk of optic neuropathy with this medication therefore pyridoxine should be administered., Ethambutol, This medication can cause visual disturbances – eyesight should be monitored before commencing treatment especially in young children, routine monitoring recommended and avoid use on children who cannot report visual disturbance I.e. younger than 5 , Pyrizanamide, This medication should be used with caution in patients with gout .
