Pete and Carla are students in Bath. They like walking in the little streets ____ going into old shops, ____ they don't like tourists very much. Every summer, lots of tourists visit Bath ____ they want to see the Abbey ____ the other old buildings in the city, ____ it's usually very crowded at that time of the year. Pete and Carla find a little street. They can hear music. They get closer ____ they see a flute player. He's playing a nice tune, ____ he isn't very good, ____ there aren't many coins in his hat. Pete and Carla go into an little shop. It sells old coins ____ stamps from different countries. Pete loves stamps ____ he looks at a book with old ones from South America and Canada. The shopkeeper stands near Pete while he watches the old stamps. ____ he goes to a room at the back to answer the phone. Pete wants the stamps from South America, ____ he can't buy them ____ they are too expensive. Carla doesn't like the shopkeeper ____ the cleaning girl ____ they aren't very friendly. They have angry looks in their faces. Finally, Pete and Carla decide to leave the shop. It's very hot outside, ____ they sit at a café ____ order two cold drinks. While they're waiting for their drinks, they see the shopkeeper from the coins and stamps shop. He's angry ____ some valuable coins are missing from his shop ____ he thinks Pete and Carla stole them. They tell him that they don't have his coins, ____ he doesn't believe them. A police officer arrives and asks what is the problem. The Shopkeeper explains what he thinks, ____ suddenly Carla listens to a melody, it's Greensleeves! ____, she says she thinks, Tracy (the shopkeeper's assistant) stole the coins with the help of the flute man. But the shopkeeper says he checked Tracy's bag. Pete, Carla and the police officer look for the flute man. He tries to escape. They run after him, and ____ get him. They check in his hat, ____ he's got the missing coins ____ he stole them with Tracy's help! Finally, the shopkeeper apologizes with the students and offers a reward to Pete and Carla. Carla asks him to give Pete his stamps from South America!
