Arm - (used to carry microscope) , Light - plug in the microscope and turn on the light( shines light to the slide onstage), Objective lens - magnifies the object by 4x, 10x or 40x, eyepiece - look through here, diaphragm - adjust the light coming through the hole in the stage , stage - place slide on stage, coarse focus - bring the object into focus, fine focus - Bring the object into greater focus , revolving nosepiece  - click the objective lens into place, and start with the lowest magnification ,
