Matthew 24 Events , Destruction of Jerusalem AD 70 , End of the world , Dangers during the last times , spiritual dangers , false prophets , persecution , famines , earthquakes , wars , The church is like a fig tree , cold and hard at first , fights battles on earth  , softens and is filled with new life during summer , ready for new life in the new heavens and new earth , Woes Spoken by Jesus to the Pharisees, They shut the door to heaven themselves by false teachings , They covered up their sin of stealing by proudly loudly , The "converted" people were twice as evil as they were , They lived by the letter of the law , They over kept the smallest of commandments but neglected the important ones , They stressed outward purity of the temple vessels. Inside they were filled with bones of dead men , They cared for the graves of the sons of prophets and boasted they would never kill prophets, They were like the sepulcher which is white, but inside are filled with the bones of dead men.
