Sort laundry into lights and darks to be washed in separate loads, Put clothes into the washing machine (don't overfill!), Add laundry detergent to detergent drawer or directly to clothes, Select the appropriate settings for water temperature and cycle time, Switch clothes from washer to dryer (except for those to hang-dry), Add a dryer sheet or wool dryer ball to reduce static, Select the appropriate settings for drying temperature and cycle time, Remove clothes, fold and hang laundry
