This is the hardest conflict to identify. In general, look for a group of people being treated unfairly or discriminated against., Conflict - Problem or a struggle between two opposing forces., Antagonist - Evil character or force working against the main character., Protagonist - Main Character(s), Character vs. Nature - The protagonist has a problem caused by some force of nature such as storms, earthquakes, or wild animals, Character vs. Self - The protagonist has an inner mental or emotional problem. This is sometimes called an internal conflict., Internal Conflict - A problem that happens within a character’s head. He/she is struggling with something INSIDE., External Conflict - A problem that occurs in the characters world - outside., Major Conflict - Conflict introduced at the beginning of the novel and it is not resolved until the end. There is only one of these in a novel., Minor Conflict - Smaller problems that happen within the plot as a result of the major conflict.,
