Shay's Rebellion - Rebellion by Massachusetts soldier over taxes/debt that showed America need a stronger federal/Central government, Federal Goverment - national government that make rules for whole country , Virginia Plan  - More people in the state the more representation they should have in government - proportional representation, Compromise  - an agreement where both sides need to give up something/make changes, New Jersey Plan - All states are equal each state should have the same representation in government, 3/5th Compromise - three-fifths of the total number of slaves would be included in a state’s population total - increasing representative power of the southern states, Connecticut/Great Compromise  - There will be 2 parts of congress one the states are represented equally, the other is represented more if the population is bigger, Electoral College - a group of representatives that elect the president, instead of the the people directly electing the president, US Constitution - rule and structures of the United States government , Articles of Confederation - first constitution - failed because it couldn't tax or raise and army to keep order, showed need for stronger federal government ,
